​Note on Road Transport Quotes: Open Sky Cargo SRL acts as local agent for Davidson International Group BV (Rotterdam, Netherlands) for road and land transport services. Quotations for road transport are issued on behalf of Davidson International Group BV and are subject to Davidson's own terms and conditions in addition to these terms.

1. Validity

The validity period of each quotation is stated within the quotation document itself. Where no validity period is stated, the quotation is valid for 48 hours from the date of issue. All quotations are subject to availability and market conditions at the time of booking confirmation.

 

2. Currency

All quotations are issued in EUR or RON unless otherwise specified. Where USD or another currency is agreed, that currency applies as stated. Exchange rate fluctuations between quotation date and invoice date are for the client's account.

3. Exclusions — Labour and Equipment

Unless explicitly requested and confirmed in writing, the following are excluded:

  • Labour, forklifts or material handling equipment at any location

  • Packing, crating or protective materials

  • Special securing or load equipment

 

4. Out-of-Hours Work

All quotations are based on regular business hours. Work on weekends, public holidays or outside agreed hours will attract a surcharge invoiced separately.

 

5. Customs and Government Charges

The following are excluded from all quotations unless explicitly stated:

  • Romanian customs duties, fees and taxes

  • VAT on goods

  • Any other government-imposed charges

All such charges will be invoiced at cost. Open Sky Cargo SRL cannot be held responsible for delays or costs resulting from inaccurate documentation provided by the client.

 

6. Insurance

Carrier liability is strictly limited under applicable international conventions. Open Sky Cargo SRL strongly recommends clients arrange adequate cargo insurance independently. Unless specifically requested in writing and confirmed by us, no cargo insurance is included or arranged. Insurance can be arranged upon written request.

 

7. Rate Fluctuations

All quotations are based on rates, fuel surcharges and carrier tariffs applicable at time of quotation. These are subject to change. Open Sky Cargo SRL cannot be held responsible for price changes caused by fuel increases, currency fluctuations, carrier schedule changes, or political events.

 

8. Storage and Demurrage

Quotations exclude container demurrage, port or airline storage beyond standard free time, and storage of empty packing materials.

 

9. Packing

The client is responsible for ensuring goods are suitably packed for the intended mode of transport. Special handling requirements must be communicated before booking. Open Sky Cargo SRL cannot accept liability for damage resulting from inadequate packing unless packing was arranged by us under a separate agreement.

 

10. Road Transport

Quotations for road and land transport are issued by Open Sky Cargo SRL as agent for Davidson International Group BV. The contracting party for road transport services is Davidson International Group BV (Airportplein 22, 3045 AP Rotterdam, Netherlands), and their terms and conditions apply to such services.

 

11. VAT

All quoted rates are exclusive of Romanian VAT where applicable, in accordance with Romanian and EU tax regulations.
